How wet is the carpet after you use the machines? I am interested in hiring one. I have never walked on/touched carpet after its being professionally cleaned, so I don't have a comparison.
Thanks ladies for your replies. Sounds like thats all I will need to tidy up the carpet. Was worried they might be a complete waste of money.
~Kim~ yeah I thought that the price to buy the products and hire the machine was about the same it would cost to get someone to do it or not much difference anyhow. But most of the carpet is clean its just DDs bedroom is filty I guess she can stay in the spare room till it dries and then some other areas with stains. Also I'd prefer not to move my furniture which I have had to do with the pro's in the past.
It might be the first and last time I use it we will see lol
So come next week I am hiring one.
We have used the 'Rug Doctor' a few times, and have also used professionals. I have found in my opinion that the Rug Dr is better. It is time consuming but we normally go over the carpets twice and it does a great job, where I have found that with the 3 or 4 professional companies, the carpet looks great for a week or 2 and then the stains/grottiness seems to come back.
