There are spray products that you can get at the vets and/or some pet shops that are enzyme-based - the enzymes break down the proteins in the urine and therefore remove the offensive smell. You might need a couple of applications but I reckon something like this should do the trick - just make sure you really saturate the area you're treating.

I always keep a bottle of the stuff around because it's handy with toilet training accidents and/or other body fluid moments that the domestic goddess sometimes encounters.

My cats always pee under my house and it just stinks. We tried various things to get rid of the smell but in the end I threw down some laundry powder. Not only did it get rid of the smell but the cats stopped peeing there.. Maybe try soaking your bag in some and hanging out in the sun.. That is if the sun ever shines here again

god damn cats, we have 4 and one of them is a pee-er.
if you mix vinegar and water, and soak the bag in it, that tends to get rid of the majority of the stench, then do the washing powder and sun routine.

Thanks, ladies I gave it a wash in soapy water and dried it with a hairdryer (I know Aussienic, this RAIN!!! Driving me CRAZY!), it still smells a bit so I'll pop down to the vet on Monday and see if I can get some of that spray Ooh, vinegar and water sounds good too, I'll just dry it again with the hairdryer and then put it out in the sun... if it ever comes back!

I think I am the only one in town still loving it I prefer nice dark days rather than hot humid sunny days . today has been nice.. just so cool..

^ Oh don't get me wrong, I'd love it if it rained 365 days a year... I just don't have a clothesdryer lol, so I've been wearing damp shirts for what seems like months! I love this weather, just hate how after a week or so, everything's so sticky and damp and everyone else gets miserable hehehe How I long for some crisp, warm, fluffy, SUN-DRIED bath towels!

Ah yes I think I would be sick of it to if I didn't have a drier.. I also have Ac so when everythig starts to feel damp we turn the Ac to heat close the house and go out for half hour.. come home and everything feels dry again

Bi-Carb is good for getting the smell out, and it will also soak up any urine, however it needs to be vacuumed out well.

If you do the vinegar and water treatment that will also shine up your shiny bits. Good luck reviving it but it may never be the same
