Does anyone hang theirs out in the evening?

I do it all the time, too... my washing gets hung out whenever I (or anyone else here) has time, morning noon or night.

I prefer to hang my washing out at night and bring it in first thing in the morning to prevent fading. When the girls are having their brekkie, or just after brekkie before all the drama begins for the day, I get it off. Putting it away is another thing though ...

yep i mainly hang mine up evening also.... depends if I have time earlier that day then I will but like most of us, I do it when i get the chance.
Doesn't bother me if washing sits on the line all night either. (unless it rains!!! that bothers me!)

Folding washing takes forever though!

I tend to hang my washing out mid arvo and bring it in late morning the next day, then hang a fresh lot out mid arvo...and so the cycle continues LOL I have never considered the risk of someone stealing my washing...I dont think anyone would want our crusty clothes anyway

Yep I hang mine out in the evenings too. At the moment, I do it after DS has dinner because he has a thing for helping me with it. As soon as the machine goes on he says "washing out" and stands at the door lol

Yep, hang out in evening...although often dont bring in till the next evening when i am hanging the next load out....
The only thing that i dont like about doing this is i find its a great place for creepy crawlies to hide....i dunno, night time and all when they're all out, it seems DH undies are the perfect place to hide......
So yer...when folding (and i know you dont hon......) im quietly freaking out that a big hairy spider is going to jump outta of a jean pocket or something....

ETA: if it rains at 2am i have found myself lying in bed thinking of all that washing on my line....and the onslaught for the next day.....

Yes, I have quite often put clothes out on the line in the evening. They dry really quickly in the early morning sun and sometimes it is the only way I can get them hung out, especially with working as well. Perhaps if they need to be hung out in the eveining you could even convince your DH to do it for you

Havent read all the replies, but Yep i very often hang washing in the evening/night.
Especially if it is a warm night it means that i will have a load that is dry to pull in fisrt thing in the morning. i also do a load at nigh, put it on just before bed or on the timer (though that has the tendency to wake MJ on a bad night) so that it is ready to hang out first thing.

My clothes line is a retractable one on our back porch, so it doesnt matter so much if it rains, it means that i miss out on the direct sunlight, but i can get stuff dried earlier.

The other thing i do (especially in winter when things take longer to dry) is dry a load inside on the rack and then other stuff draped/hung around the house.

So NO i dont think that it is a bad idea!

I hang my washing out in the evenings too and then the rest I have to time for when Lachlan goes down for his nap during the day.

yes, it goes out late afternoon or evening time and gets brought in late evening or next morning. If naps havent finished drying I leave them on a clothes airer inside overnight and that usually is enough to finish them.
We also have a constant pile of laundry ready to get folded and put away in the lounge...

I used to hang mine out in the evenings and bring it in either first thing in the morning (if dry) or when I got home from work - I can't do that where I am now as there is a huge tree over the line and I'm sick of getting bird poopie on my clothes. So I use a clotheshorse. I am about to put a clothes line in my garage once I get rid of the stuff in there.

I usually do the washing at night. Never thought about anything getting pinched but my washing hangs in the backyard under the carport so you can't even see it.

But as someone said earlier - the creepy crawlies come out at night!! I make sure to give everything a big shake before it goes in the basket. Mostly moths or earwigs here, haven't had a spider yet thankfully.
