But can the kids reach the fridge?
I reeeally like that Charlotte can get her own drinks, the milk, apples and what not from the crisper, all on her own now - and she loves it too, feels all sorts of grown up I would hate to change that!

(I am pondering this as I ponder buying a new fridge...my solution thus far is a full length fridge and a separate full length freezer - oh the glorious SPACE!!!)

Lol I wish we had the space for that lime! But our house is space-poor. We currently have an upside down which both girls can reach to get drinks from. Our fruit is in a bowl that they help themselves to (no need to keep it in the crisper here )

The only problem is that they are more expensive and they aren't as roomy inside for the same outside size, if that makes sense.

Our family and then us have always had upside down fridges - I couldnt imagine anyting worse then having to constantly bend over to get into the fridge!

We have a F & P french dooor upside down one and there is so much room especially for wide dises/platters etc. I love it. And yes the kids can reach things provided they are placed on the lower levels - easier to control too as stuff you dont want them to eat can be placed high out of reach.

How much do you actually use the freezer Nai? a standard fridge with freezer on top has far less freezer space. we have both, and the freezer on bottom is much better space wise for the freezer - but the trade off is the loss of space in the fridge. If we had to go back having only one fridge/freezer i'd have to go the upside down option. yes, E might struggle to reach drinks on her own) but i'd prefer the extra freezer space. the two small shelves in most "freezer on top" fridges really don't cut it for me (we buy pretty much everything in bulk - and cook in bulk to freeze so freezer space is important to us)
