Another one here who's child had to point to a picture of an iron in a story book and ask what is was.

Even though I am a non ironer, I do dream of having a Laura Star set-up for when I am sewing.

Well we all (DS1, DH & I) survived without burns, although trying to explain to Pip the importance of not hitting the ironing board was difficult! On the bright side, I did watch Dancing with the Stars that I taped last night And my Jessica Steele aprons are now very crisp, they depressed me being so crumpled!!!!!!

Oh, it's OK, I'm not all stepford, it's only my clothing and the doona cover. I couldn't fit my clothes in the wardrobe, they kept falling out ...

...I do not iron. Love it Kaz!

My DH was ironing the other day, I asked him to leave the ironing board up. He looked at me quizzically, and said "you don't iron?", I said " No, I am not going to iron, I just don't want you rattling the ironing board so close to DD's bedroom, she has just gone to sleep" It took me a while to figure out how to put the thing down!

Aren't they horrid things to put down? And they squeak and don't lean against the wall nicely at all.
