I always go out. At the moment our cleaner comes while we have playgroup (for 2 hours) then I usually hit the shops for a bit afterwards. Our cleaner has worked around DD's sleeps which has been great.

We always stay home with ours because I feel it's important to be happy with their work, and I kind of check as he goes.

I pay $70 as a flat rate, because my cleaner sometimes takes his time and sometimes he is really efficient. He does bathroom toilet laundry, kitchen bench tops, microwave, cupboard doors, dusting, mirrors, vacuum and mop all floors. Tbh he is a bit expensive but I really like him and be is lovely with the kids. He takes about an hour and fifteen to do it all, and comes fortnightly. He is open to cleaning behind furniture and wiping windows etc too. He brings all products and own vacuum and mop and has a police check and insurance.

I pay $25 an hour....I get it done on a fortnightly basis - usually three hours....I stay around with DS1 and DS2 - we have a three storey house, when she is upstairs we are downstairs and when she comes downstairs we will go outside or into the playroom, she is great and we have a chat, etc. It is so nice to know once a fortnight the whole house will be clean, I will get the vac out every couple of days to vacuum the downstairs area and clean the toilets, etc.

Well I've organised one through Absolute Domestics on a friends recommendation, its only $70 for 3 hours. She comes next Wednesday but is gonna pop over Tues while I'm at home to have a quick run through. I'm excited. Went and bought a new mop (had been meaning too for a while) and a few cleaning products that were running low so everything is available that she might need.

Oh, Did I tell you I am excited. No housecleaning this week for me - WOOOOOOOOOT!!!

OMIGOD - I love my cleaner

Got home and the house is sparkling, she's put me to absolute shame. I am going to ring her tomorrow and tell her she is a legend.

I felt bad as she couldn't get all the soap scum off our ensuite shower screen (I'm a shocker with cleaning the shower), I feel bad, so I'll get it ship shape so its easy to maintain

However, the house is just lovely and smells great. This is one of the best things we've ever done!!

We have two ladies from an agency come through once a month for $90. Considering going back to more regularly now that DD is on the move. They clean the bathrooms, wipe surfaces in the kitchen, vaccuum and mop - we have a large tiled kitchen, dining and living area downstairs, 4 carpeted bedrooms upstairs, and 2.5 bathrooms. We are generally pretty tidy and spot clean as needed. They do a great job and are very trustworthy. I feel really awkward having them clean around me - they come through when I'm at work, but on days like today when I'm on holidays, I say hi and chat for a bit and then head off to an appointment.
