How do you clean your floating floors?

I use cold water and reg floor cleaner with a rung out string style mop. My cleaner who comes once a week uses a swiffer style mop to glide over the floors but I think tats not as good- you cant "scrub" spots with it

I would actually recommend asking the person/company who laid the floors to advise on the best method because all timber floors have different glosses/stains and that may alter the cleaning method.

We had solid timber floors laid this year and were given a video on the proper care and maintenance of the floors. It has been a godsend. I use a dry electrostatic mop first to collect all the dust and dirt particles and then wet mop with a well wrung mop (never ever dripping) and use a professional cleaning product called 'Versedet' available from Bunnings. My floors are always sparkling and look amazing after they have been washed, which used to be a daily occurrance until morning sickness got in the way, lol. We have 150sqm of timber and it probably takes me 15-20mins max to dry and then wet mop. Its that easy. I love it.

Oh, I have a steam mop and it says to never use it on timber flooring. Dont know if its just my particular one, but it wasnt a cheap one thats for sure.

I used my Enjo mop on our b/c it wasn't too wet

I use my enjo mop for 70% of the time and the remainder time I use a Vileda mop (buy them from Big W) along with Pine o clean.

My electrostatic mop is the 'OATES' brand and is orange (all their products are colour coded). It wasnt cheap, but its really good at attracting the dust and rubbish on the floor. I got the extra wide brimmed version. There are other brands available that claim to do the same thing, but I dont know if they are any good. Oh, and I got it from Bunnings. Technique is important, you must keep it flat on the floor with the brush hair facing outwards while 'dry mopping' to keep the brush statically charged and therefore best able to attract the most dust.
