thread: How many washing baskets do you have?

I don't actually have a dirty wash basket, like the proper solid type that's bigger, like a bin. I want one but I always think they are expensive, and it's not a fun purchase...a washing basket. Boring.

I had 2 and but 1 of them had to be thrown out because the kids jumped on it...I went a few months with just 1 and it was a nightmare I now have 2 again but also think perhaps 1 more would be helpful...or though if i put the washing away straight away rather then leaving in the baskets for a few days I am sure i could cope with what i have

We have 5 washing baskets. A hamper for our clothes (DP, DS1 and mine) and another hamper for DS2's clothes and stuff since his stuff gets washed seperately.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a lot of washing baskets. Lolll.

Ray you can get these funky laundry dividers (we have one I got for like $15 from Kmart). It has 3 Canvas Bags that hook onto a metal frame. One for colours, One for carks and one for whites. Its a godsend. Each night I empty the hampers into a basket then sort into the divider. Makes it easier to do loads each night/day.

Wow, so you have a hamper, and this divider thingy? I'm seriously behind in the basket stakes.

We have one basket, one nappy bucket, two hampers, one small basket in DD room and the floor next to DH side of the bed

The two hampers are in the laundry. one for light stuff, one for dark stuff. If they are both chockers when I wash then I sort them into whites, colours and darks. Linen gets done all at once but the bits and pieces during the week just wait in one of the hampers. Every night I empty DD basket in to the hampers and sort my things there too. DH leaves his at the end of the bed for a day or two till I get angry then puts everything into the dark hamper even if there are white sports socks.

I wash everyday. The one basket takes everything out and brings it all back in. If DD is patient I fold as I unpeg, or it just comes in and I fold it in the lounge into a billion piles all over the lounge suite. then those piles go back into the basket and I take it around to all the rooms to put away.

It's a reallllly big hip hugger one. I love it I would love another but then things wouldnt get put away as quickly.
