Could there be a mouse trapped in your walls?

I was thinking along the same lines as Jaycee... dead animal in the wall cavity? Mouse, rat, possum, neighbour...?

Check the back of your fridge for a fried mouse... Usually they end up in the water catching tray or in between coils

Mmm... we had that smell in a cupboard a while back - At first it was distinct but not really unpleasant, and over the next three days developed into something utterly disgusting. Eventually found a rotting rat carcass in the roof space above the wardrobe. Check the back of the fridge NOW for dead, mouse, cos it only gets worse the longer you leave it.

Ew! It doesn't smell like dead animal though. I'm going to have to wait for DH to come home to move the fridge. I hope there's nothing dead behind it.
