RR and Squid - get yourself the Speed Cleaning and/or Spotless books. They have all the recipes you will need and it also gives you an understanding of stains (I CANNOT believe I just said that!!).
Eg - protein based stains need a certain mix, wee stains need xxx and sunshine etc.
Well worth it!

BTW I just had to mention how brilliantly good old Bi carb and vinegar go in a dishwasher! Jodie mentioned it awhile back and I wasn't really convinced but the results speak for themselves. Bicarb in the dispenser and vinegar in the rinse aid compartment. Awesome.
