I've ruined the marble with cleaner!? Suggestions?
I used a spray cleaner on our marble benchtop and when it dried it had lots and lots of spots where the cleaner was and now it has stayed like that. I have tried washing it off with lots of water but nothing is happening. DH even tried rubbing alcohol but that didn't work either. Any suggestions on what I can do? Stupidly I didn't read the bottle until it was too late where it said 'do not use on marble...'
Yeah, it's the Pine-O-Cleen Lemon Lime Twist with active ingredient Citric Acid
I think I've ruined it and we are renting! You have to be in a certain light to see it but when you do you think what the heck has happened there. Oh blast.
Thank goodness I only did a smallish section of it and thanks for getting back to me. I think I might look into marble polish to see if that might make a difference.
I did the same thing with a marble vanity on a boat once. (who'd have marble on a boat i ask ya?!) We got a specialist in and he polished it out. No idea how much it cost though.
