What products are good for cleaning off scuffs and marks on walls?

In my front foyer we have mats where our shoes go on when we walk in and i guess when we kick them off we have been hitting the wall so now there are many scuffs on the wall, they wont budge with normal spray and wipe.

And there are marks around light switches and door handles.

DP said if we can't get them off we will have to paint over them, which is no bother as we have some paint left over from when they painted.

Also, we have stains on our carpet. I guess its traffic stains as its mainly in our hallway what would be the best way to clean them without getting proffessionals in?
