Mouldy baby bouncer

So, I pulled out the baby bouncer to get it ready for bubs number 2 only to discover that when I asked DH to wrap it up and store it he took that to mean just chuck it in the outside shower (which we don't use but it has a leak in the roof so in damp)! Anyway now it is of course covered in mould. It wasn't an expensive bouncer but I didn't really want to have to buy a new one. Is there anyway to get mould out of the fabric?

I think i heard vinegar? There are probably some products you can buy specifically for mould. I think the biggest thing will be making sure you get it all because it can make you very sick, cold like and breathing problems.

Yeah I really am tempted just to throw it out (and normally I would have already) but I thought I would attempt a salvage if someone knew a magical cure :-)

Vinegar and sunshine

or oil of cloves

I don't think anything but bleach will rid the actual stain, but the top two suggestions will kill the actual mould spurs

I used Milton Solution to get mould out of a baby rocker after a couple of washes and strong sunshine to fade, which didn't really help. I made a paste out of the tablets with water and them soaked it for a few hrs and put it in the normal wash then in the sunshine. From memory, I did this twice. It did bleach a bit of the back on the rocker which is a dark blue colour.

I might be being too careful here but given that bub would actually be sitting/lying in bouncer and really close to any spores that anything you use didn't kill i'd probably err on the side of caution and just get a new one. Depending on what type you get they don't have to be that expensive. If you did want to try however from what i understand oil of cloves if supposes to do the trick.
