my clothes have been wet for days

it wont stop raining.
i have clothes on the line, and wet clothes in the washing machine!
i thought it would be sunny but no the sun hid!

i need them to be dry by next week ! lol! no fun packing wet clothes......

do you have airers that you can put the clothes on inside?

Our dryer died just as the rain started, but I've managed to get my washing dry by using airers and a heater... I just pop a sheet over the airer to keep the heat in, and everything dries almost as quick as if it were in the dryer!

I am having the same problem - don't have a drier and can't find our airer (I think DPs parrot may have been allowed to climb on it and chew it to bits so DP may have discarded of it!) and the ones available in shops at the moment are so small... I am trying to find one like the one that is missing but seems I was very lucky to find that one!

So each night, I go home from work and wash something to wear the next day and place it on a towel over the column heater and hope for the best.

I trip to the laundromat might be in order this Sunday... have a wedding to go to on Saturday

Ugh I hear ya!
No dry clothes here in days. I know it's breaking the drought but this is ridiculous!

i have no M or MIL to use their resources. No spare room to stick airers in. No outdoor undercover space to hang stuff up.

Our clothes horse is in our dining area, with a fan going. the clothes touch dh's back when he sits down to eat dinner (it's a tiny unit). when i breastfeed in that room, i have to turn the fan off, too cold for me otherwise.

when i've desperate, i hang wet items over the baby gates, whilst bilby is asleep. and on over the door hooks (with wet clothing hung up on curved end coathangers).

we only have the three of us, but i try to keep up with the washing, cos if i let it accumulate, there is nowhere to put "catchup" loads.

i think if we REALLY fell in a hole with washing, it would be a laundromat that would dig us out of that hole. Several big loads and the industrial size driers. i hate laundromats so would be last resort.

Gigi! i hear you there! this the the first time i have asked MIL for anything. next week we will be back to isolation with no family or friend (but i look forward to meeting new people in our new town

Laundermats OMG hell no! my kids would go crazy!!! lol

we used to have the rope under the patio and it worked great esp when the wind picked up. but with 3/4 the house in boxes atm who knows where rope is

everyone seems to have heaters.. should i invest in one?

PP - oil heaters are great with littlies - we got a small one from target and its awesome

SS- I am having the same prob with drying clothes. Does yor oil heater take up alot of electricity? AM thinking of getting one.
