My dh has seen/heard them in action several times in his work and says they have access to every database you can think of (not just in Australia but also worldwide) to find out what is poisonous and what isn't. They can usually even figure out what someone has been poisoned with by their symptoms if you have no idea what the victim has come in contact with. At least you know what your child was chewing on, that gives them a massive head start!
