Opposite with me. My electrolux vacuum blew up after 6 months and I had hell trying to get it replaced under warranty. Second one blew up 6 months after first. Electrolux washing machine is freaking awesome and washes clothes so beautifully. Even the super, super filthy DD's been playing in the red dirt stuff has never needed to be rewashed!
Really? Maybe mine's just dodgy then. Sometimes I think the clothes come out dirtier than when they went in! And I can still smell DH's deodorant and aftershave after washing his shirts!

I have a miele cat and dog vaccum. I think it's around $600 but it is an awesome machine. It comes with 2 vac heads, a regular one and one with these spinning brushes to pick up dog and cat hair (I actually don't have pets but it's great at picking up cotton after I've been sewing :-))
You can also adjust the suction too.

I think there are bound to be faults within every brand really. I mean they have x amount of models under x amount of brand name.

Perfect timing on this thread. My vacuum cleaner JUST started yelling at me when I switched it on! DD and I both got a nasty fright from the noise it was emitting

I have an electrolux and it is bloomin fantastic! My bestie has a dyson and mine poos all over hers! Haha! She is jealous of mine! Seriously it's a brilliant vacuum. So easy to use.
I definately don't recommend electrolux's washing machines but their vacuums get a big thumbs up!
I have an electorlux too but borrowed my neighbours Dyson & thought it was good too

I have a Meile upright and it is fantastic, a little pricey though. Ours was a gift and it topped the Dyson's I trialled, but then again alot of folks swear by Dyson. Our vac is sooooo flexible for an upright.

We have the Miele Cat and Dog too and it's awesome. We have two longhaired indoor cats. Say no more really!

I wanted one with bags because I'm actually allergic to house dust (an allergist once told me I shouldn't vacuum - ha ha yeah right!) and prefer to not have to empty a bagless one.

The turbo head on the Miele is a-mazing.

We got a vac from Aldi (no idea on the brand). Looks pretty close to a dyson and is the best vac I've ever owned. Picks up everything! Bagless too.
    It was $99
