Just thought I would add, I always justify the cost of tupperware to my DH in reminding him it has a 'lifetime warranty' (so will last forever, my mum still uses the stuff she bought before she ever had kids).
DH justifies the cost for me "welllll, if we get more tupperware, i can put those other containers in the filing cabinet in the shed so the nails/screws/some other random thing aren't loose anymore" lol
another tupperware addict....i got one of the modular mates sets when i had a party. they seem to have them as a host special or special party price quite often. love, love, love them! i find they're pretty good for what i wanted to store & the demonstrator was able to tell me what size is suitable for diff things (so i told her that i usually bought 1kg packs of flour & she could tell me which size). i think t/ware also offer a service where they'll come to your home & help you revamp your pantry - create a list of what you'd need to sort things out.
it is expensive but i can't fault it. the quality just seems so much better than anything else i've bought in the past.

I dont think we have any plastic ware in our house now that isnt Tupperware! Its exxy to get started but even if you just start with a Modular Mate set and then add from there. Def agree with hosting a party, I got about $400 worth of free stuff when I had a big party.
