That's a lot of vacuuming I only do it every fews days but agree it probably needs to be done more than that especially since we have an open fireplace and live in the country, no concrete etc

I do it twice a week and before visitors if I know they are coming over. The other days I just do a sweep. I do vacuum everything though, tiles, carpet and the couch and the dining chairs.

About twice a week here, sometimes it could be more depending on how mess the boys have been.

I do it once a week and sweep on other days. We don't have carpet in the house, but I vacum and mop once a week to keep it clean as we have dogs. Today I did it, and then it rained, and then the girls ran out in the rain and came back in with mud... then they let the dogs in. I just let it all dry and swept it up... then I put a wet rag over the muddy bits. I wasn't going to do the floors over just for one small muddy bit.

I do it once a week and same as Laranna, before visitors. I could not be bothered doing it any more often.

I do the living room once a day, sometimes twice but only cos it can get crunchy underfoot with hard boards.....and for my sanity. The vac lives in the living room usually.
The rest of the place once/twice a week and you can hardly tell compared to the general messiness.

    OMG.

I'd go crazy if i were at any of your houses.

How can you not vacuum? Don't you see all the bits in the carpets or on floor boards?

    OMG. I can't believe it.

I'm going to vacuum now !!

TD I used to be like you. But I was literally going insane. I still have my moments of insanity. My DS has gastro atm and lets just say my house smells like a combination of pine-o-clean, vinegar and lavender and bleach. My hands have had enough washing today to last me a lifetime. But am I a twice a day girl, alas not anymore. But ironically if I went to anyone's house I couldn't tell. I really couldn't. Unless you had like a lifetime of cereal and pet hair on the floor I really wouldn't know if you'd vacuumed two seconds before I arrived or last week... And its a ritual to me its not about other people's houses

I usually vacuum almost every day. If I clean, I gotta vac. If I don't clean its well & truly hidden, so can't be seen.
    So if I clean, I vac & sweep, if I don't clean, I don't vac, lol.
I only do the lounge & family room everyday. Sweep every 2 or so days, but the bedrooms are only every week or 2 unless needed.

My domestic blindness came with a child who screamed 6-8 hours a day for 3 years..... I wish you luck in finding yours.
