Well, i have found a new incentive to get me to do the housework which has taken me rather by surprise...

    my DH going overseas!!

so weird! since he left Thursday I have been going NUTSO! like as in scrubbing the cornices and waxing the wooden furniture...

but my usual reasons are that i like to wake up to a tidy house. so do a quick putting away of things once the kidlet is in bed. and on the weekends i like to get in nice and early with the housework so that i have the rest of the weekend to enjoy cleanliness and shiny floors.

I go in cycles... I'll spend a few weeks clenaing like a mad woman, then get all lazy. Going through a lazy patch atm, so the house is filthy.

If it's clean, I like to clean more so i can keep it clean. if it's dirty, it mfeels like too much effort and I don't know where to start

looking at display homes .... we have quite a few villages around us and we will skip in and have a drool sometimes and the minute I get home I am madly cleaning up my house, not that it will look as stunning as some of those gorgeous homes LOL...

Three things motivate me to do housework. Visitors, procrastination (when I was studying I'd scrub the shower with a toothbrush before I could do my assignments) and no clean undies

I like to play loud heavy metal music to get me in the mood. This morning Judas Priest gave me a helping hand

    Visitors!!!!!!!!!!

Plus, I do love having the house clean & tidy, though it's rarely the case that I can sit down and think, "ahhhhhhhh, it's all done"

DH yelling at me... sad but true - he does most of the housework. But he knew that when he married me.

a big assignment/study that i should be doing... then cleaning becomes appealing and very important.
This is me! I became an exceptionally good ironer when I had assignments to do. You see, if I was ironing, it was perfectly acceptable to watch the daytime soaps as I was "busy" and the assignments would wait until I wasn't "busy"...hahahaha

Mine is a combination of just having a clean house for my kids, knowing it is clean for if people come over and at the end of the day, before it all gets trashed again, it is nice to feel like I have accomplished something as most days it is an effort to find the time to run a brush through my hair!
