    What is your "thing"?

I was discussing this with a couple of girlfriends the other day. It appears that each of us has a "thing", that if it's done, we can pretty much manage the rest of the house.

My "thing" is floors. If my floors are clean, then I can handle the playroom being messy, kitchen messy, etc.

Another girl's "thing" is dishes. If her dishes are done, then the rest of it is manageable.

Do you have a "thing"? What is your "thing?"

My thing is the washing, although it seems I'm always doing it but it's never 'done'.

The kitchen is my thing. If I get that done and kept everyday then the rest flows easily, but this last week I've been really unwell and man we were on a slippery slope....

My thing is the floors - Kitchen and loungeroom.

OH thing is the kitchen - is has to be spotless.

It works really well when we've had a party and lots of kids have trashed the house, we just both do "our things" and it gets done really quickly ;-D

Definitely kitchen and floors (anyone see a trend here!?!)

Mind you, I also like the bathroom counter clean and the washing done and hung up. Not a fan of dust either.

Promise you though, my house is always messy

Yeah I agree with the kitchen.. If dishes are done and kitchen is clean it makes the rest of the house seem clean.. Then the floors. If the carpet is vacuumed and my house smells nice then it feels clean.. (Never mind the dust you can write your name in )

    I have three things
    - Kitchen
    - Beds
    - Floors

If those are done I'm good with sitting down

Dishes done and clean kitchen surfaces. I don't do floors...incapable of doing them. That is DH's job. So I can cope with messy floors but never untidy kitchen surfaces!

Clean kitchen, beds made and no visible washing. I don't care how much washing needs to be folded as long as I can't see it

Floors for me! If all the floors are mopped, vacc'ed and clutter free, then it's a good day and I can feel satisfied that the place looks 'clean'. I guess with two people, dishes aren't a huge deal.

the couch, if all the cussions are on it and no toys piled up (or washing) sounds odd, but with 3 little ones and a dog who likes to "hide" under the cussions it is a difficult task!
