My thing is the house. If the house is clean I can manage the housework. Hmmmm. Problem is, the house is never clean.

The Kitchen - it literally IS the centre of the house, we have a big open plan house with everything basically surrounding the kitchen, which is awesome, however it means you cant hide the mess in the kitchen. So if I keep the kitchen under control, the rest of the house seems to follow

    I have three things
    - Kitchen
    - Beds
    - Floors

If those are done I'm good with sitting down

Dishes done and clean kitchen surfaces. I don't do floors...incapable of doing them. That is DH's job. So I can cope with messy floors but never untidy kitchen surfaces!

My "thing" is toys - as long as the toys are put away and neat at the end of the night, I'm happy

I most definitely do not have a thing. Our house is perpetually a pigsty, and while I hate it, I never feel up to cleaning.

The sofas have to be free of clutter, and the coffee table. Even if the mess is dumped on the floor. Then I can put my feet up and have a coffee with a book, reassured that the rest of the house can wait.

Actually, the bookshelves are always ordered and clean. I can arrange books all day. And no access to the piano means I don't do any other cleaning until that's done. (Bravo DH for blocking my piano for months with moving boxes, then whinging his stuff is in a mess.)

Clean kitchen, beds made and no visible washing. I don't care how much washing needs to be folded as long as I can't see it

I usually feel ok if the kitchen is clean, that being said I would prefer that everything was clean, but that barely happens lol
