Im with you CK, I loathe folding washing too.
Actually washing it, hanging it out, bringing it in, no problem but the folding! I regularly have competitions with myself on just how high I can get my 'to be folded' pile before I risk losing a child (or two) under it! And with 5 of them (kids that is) I can finally get rid of said pile and its back with vengence mocking me the very next day!
However I have found a way that speeds up (well seems to) the hour plus job it is when I finally decide to tackle the pile.
I stand to do it at the kitchen table, I guess the not sitting helps with not getting distracted and I put my Ipod on so kids cant distract me and I go hell for leather till its all done.
It doesnt help with the hating it but it makes the experience a little less loathesome
Grocery shopping...so stupid, you take the item off the shelf put it in the trolley, take it out of the trolley put it on the conveyor belt, take it off the belt thing put it back in the trolley, then take it to the car, take it out of the car put it away.
Too much handling, totally exhausting!
Cleaning the shower because I basically have to stand in there and clean it. So annoying.
I'd rather clean the toilet, which is dead easy. After I mop I just pour the bucket down the toilet. It's got either demestos or pineocleen in it.
Makes the toilet all sparkly!!
Cleaning the high chair. I despise it, how one child can hide enough weetbix to feed a small army amazes me. Just when I think I'm finished, I discover another section of wedged in food (sadly, usually from at least 2 days ago). I spray the crap out of it and wipe it down just before his next meal. And feed him on the floor/outside whenever I can. And chuck a huge tanty so DH takes it outside and hoses it down. I'm going to have the only child that goes ''noooooo, not another picnic!"
