I have done some big cleans the last few days (the house needed it!), but still have some more to do.
* want to go through all the bags of kids clothes that no longer fit, and check what i want to keep, what is good for op shop, and what can go to shed for rags.
* windows, curtains (when weather better) and fly screens
* clean gutters
* weed and feed the lawn and spray/pull weeds
* possibly swap kids room and toy room around
* do toy organisation and cull.
* sell, give away or dump stuff we no longer use or need (i have hoarder tendencies but am trying not to give in to them)
Clear out WIR to make room for bubs clothes
Clean windows and frames in the bedrooms at least (vaporiser has meant that we have a mould outbreak)
Reorganise the bookshelves to fit the five bags of books we've inherited
Go through baby clothes and make a list of things Bub will need
Ooooh I'm feeling accomplished! Half of what others have listed we've managed to get done over winter (winter doldrums make me neeeeed to clean. Spring coming means outside and fix up the vegie patch!)
Stuff we've done -
- sorted and donated dd's stuff from babyhood, apart from what furniture we will sell
- sorted study and all paperwork is put away
- sorted spare room. No longer the dumping ground, its now "the library" and (neat) storage room for Lego/playdoh/games
- sorted much of the garage. Still needs some work, but will get there eventually. Dh struggles to let go of stuff from his dad/grandfather so I am being more lenient on clutter than I want to be
- tidied up the rumpus/bar. Not too bad on there though
- sorted all the kitchen cupboards, took all the inherited Tupperware that was damaged for exchange (and got all new stuff for 40 year old stuff -score!)
Still to do
- wash windows and fly screens
- sort out walk in robe (currently on hold while landlord gets ensuite fixed as its leaking into wir and I don't want to go messing with stuff
- shampoo carpets
- sell rest of dds baby furniture
- garden (prune small hedge out the front, finish weeding vegie patch, plant vegie seeds)
- disassemble water feature (stupid cat killed my fish so I've lost all desire to run it any more!)
Oh wow bg I am impressed! This weekend looks sunny and dry and perfect for organising the shed and doing windows. I'm going to go buy one of those window squeegee thingies (pg brain) in preparation.
I do have to organise my pantry again too, it was all pretty a few weeks ago, but I've been busy and just getting stuff out and chucking it wherever so I really have to pull my finger out and get back in there. I want some spice racks. Like, really really want some.
