    washing machine staining clothes

in the last few weeks i've noticed some small stains on some tshirts - it looks like small cooking-oil type of stains. i'm sure they haven't been there before they've gone into the wash (i could accept maybe missing one from when i've been cooking but not 5 or 6 - and on DS' tshirts) so i'm thinking it might have come from my washing machine?

has anyone had anything like this before? and/or does anyone have some good tips for cleaning a front loader? i think it's a bit dirty inside around the seal as well

oh - and do you think the stain removal tip for oil would work on the stains? (the one from the sticky thread on stains)....it doesn't come off after further washing

ugh, i'm sooooo not a domestic godess!

Try an empty hot wash with a drop of dish washing liquid & vinegar maybe? The d/w liquid should get the oily stuff out & the vinegar should clean the bowl a bit & help with smells. Could even chuck some bi carb in.

I try to do an empty vinegar wash every few months (if I remember, lol).
