Mmmmm... I hate cleaning. But when I do, I want it to be as easy as possible.
1) My Wertheim Vac. I like it better than a dyson. It was more exxy, though, but works sooooo well on my carpets and rugs. Also great on pet hair. It has a bag, but I actually wanted a bagged one as I got sick of cleaning out the filters of bagless ones. So that's probably the reason for those vaccuum cleaners blowing up. Especially if you have lots of pet hair, you need to clean ALL the filters regularly and replace them once in a while.
ETA: I just got the cyclonic adaptor thing (the clear catcher they use in showroom demonstrations to show how much dirt it sucks up). This way, bags last me A LOT longer and I love seeing how much dirt it removes from my carpet. It also seems to make the vaccuum even more powerful and extends the life of the filters.
2) Sabco or similar cloths. I don't really like the gloves, I'm more for cloths.
3) Sabco wet and dry mop. Love the dry part for quick in between sweeps of my cream coloured tiles that show up EVERYTHING. I would so love to replace them.
4) Orange Power - anything. I love the scent and they work well. Well, since becoming pregnant I've had an issue with the scent, but before I used to love it.
5) Vinegar. To get rid of smells, to shine windows, to clean kettles (I sometimes buy the kettle magic stuff and it is great, but I find that vinegar does the same job much cheaper), there are millions of other ways to use it. Mixed with bicarb soda it makes a frothy cleaner that works alright on shower floors.
6) My Ostrich Feather Duster from Flylady - it looks nice and dusts well. Now I just gotta use it...
I also use Jiff for my laundry tub, especially if DH has rinsed his paint brushes in there. And Cerapol for my ceramic cooktop. And Earth Choice dishwashing liquid, Omo Matic for my frontloader, Aldi brand dishwasher tablets.
