Gargy, I really have nothing to report on the pregnancy - incredibly tired, making the most of every day - no morning sickness no nothing!!
NT test on Thursday - am taking the day off work - that's about it Find I get into a vicious cycle - no energy so I don't want to cook a wholesome meal - I should be used to this - I have something like mild chronic fatigue (the doctors answer was to put me on anti-depressants - but the reason I was depressed was because I didn't have the energy to do anything and I used to be very active), which comes and goes and I just feel the same as when I'm having a bout of this!
Tonight I just feel like going to live in a cave, I'm really over work and all the politics that goes with it!!
Gargy will read your journal to catch up hun.
I'm going to sit in the corner and sulk!! love and hugs to you all
Oh no Gargy not again!!!! What is it this year with bugs and lurgies, once you get them you can't get rid of them again.I agree about the stress though think that was my problem too.
I have been sending my 3-5year olds to wipe their own green noses, I am not touching them 10 weeks is enough for me, I've been dodging the sneezing ones too (in the nicest possible way of course)
I still have a few weeks left to work 27 working days to be precise....will finish on the 19th of September.
I am trying to stay healthy and bug free for this period (touch wood) I have sinus and it seems as though it is here to stay till the end of my PG, the green stuff is gone it is more congestion due to the night/ and early morning air. I have been sneezing flat out with this PG (apparently normal) midwife said that you can get irritated/sensitive sinuses (pick me! pick me!) poor Angus will find life incredibly boring when he comes out of the mummy amusement park/ rollercoaster ride....I usually sneeze anything up to 10 times in a row!!!!
I got my hair done tonight and the other thing I have been having is sensitive sinus irritated by brushing my hair, I usually sneeze frantically when I brush my hair in the morning....my poor hairdresser, I was snuffling, sniffing and sneezing all over the place, I hate sniffing but it was either that or shower the hairdresser, it was that close.
but mission accomplished, new fresh do, and gone are the natural blondes that have been popping out more rapidly than ever all over my head.
other than that I have definatley got a huge tummy (measuring at 29weeks and I am only 27weeks) is this their way of telling me to ease up on the choccy?????
I will try to get a picture up shortly.
Gargy I am sorry you had such a hard time with the baby shower, at least it is done now!
when do you start again on the IVF train again? Probably the last thing on your mind when you are feeling ill though I guess!
I hope we are all doing well I will be back shortly for a proper catch up, DH starts night shift on Thursday night.
love to you all Allie.B xxxxx
Take me with you to your cave!! Office politics bites!
Hope the lethargy leaves soon - although my house is completely trashed at the moment and DH has been doing the cooking (bless him!) so I do know the feeling.
Blizz,
No joy whatsoever regarding staying well. I've decided my immune system sucks.
LOL at the image of you dodging toddlers with antibacterial wipes in your hand!
Ah, 2 weeks, is it really that big a deal? (not that I would know LOL).
Had a talk to my Mum about the baby shower - even she was going there with the expectation that it was going to be terrible (mainly because of expected embarrassing drunkardness that we have seen before - luckily my SIL was wise and no alcohol was available). In retrospect I suppose the graceful thing would have been to sit in the corner and keep my mouth shut - but then I am not known for being graceful!!
And I'll be seeing the FS tomorrow night to get started on a new round - so yay!
Had my NT scan today - bubs was moving around madly, but things great, got some more images of bubs. Everything looks really good for our little miracle
Also got into the birth centre - so I feel very happy about that. At least DH will be able to stay in the room overnight - no visiting hours, so he won't be kicked out and we can stay together and bond with bubs.
Hi all
Sorry I have been MIA for some time - work has been full on lately, and then when I get home I am usually dozing off in front of the tv by 9pm - a bit of a social bore at the moment. Have decided that this weekend, I'm going to cook lots and lots of good stuff and freeze it, so that I'm not munching on rubbish when I get home from work b'cos too tired to cook. Preg. is going well - HCG levels are doubling every 3 days and our first scan is in 2 weeks time - I think we will be approx 7-8 weeks preggies by then if calculated from 1st day of LMP.
Gargy, FS appt coming up in Spring - fabulous! In relation to your question about folate absorption, my FS wanted to test for everything because she couldnt explain why I was producing grade 1 embies and they werent sticking. I definitely think the following made all the difference for me: megafol, accupuncture, having blasties put back, and changing donor (used one from Xytex that both DH and I picked b'cos he looked like my gorgeous DH and had a personality match ie< I was much more comfortable with him then a completely anon donor (with no photo) that my clinic provided with the 1st cycle).
Joy, I completely understand re: being a control freak. In my 1st IVF cycle, I took 2 weeks off on rec leave, then recouped some of that leave by producing medical certs after the epu. This time around, I took about 4 work days off - from the day of epu to the date after transfer. I didnt really need all that time off - but enjoyed hanging around the house relaxing.
Tarkine, I have a question for you as I know you went through Xytex. We ordered 2 vials and have used one. As we want to try for at least 2 bubs, I am thinking of ordering another 2 vials from the same donor - just in case he is decommissioned. Is this something you are also considering?
