Nope I have already called Australia Post to try and track using receipt number or address they said there is no way they can do this. At the end of the day it is the buyers word against mine and the receipt does not show a post code because it was sent in a pre paid satchel
Nope. Nothing you can do. This is why most sellers demand registered post if using paypal, because it is trackable and can be proven. What a bummer.
I have recently been on the other end, and I 100% trust the seller that she posted the items. I was a little more understanding, I think, and asked her to re-post at half price, i.e. we split the loss. But that probably wouldn't work in your case, or with that buyer. Sucks.
Thanks guys, I think I have accepted the fact I am going to lose my money and my product but it is so frustrating that I have never lost anything, I should have listened to that little voice in my head and sent it registered post.
So what happens now, does the buyer take it further with paypal and then they decide what happens and then I assume they will get their money back.
If you look up the buyer protection policy on paypal's site it tells you all about it. Basically unless you have proof of postage as per their terms you don't have a leg to stand on. Sucks when you've never had an issue before
