PLEASE only ever use Registered Post

I just wanted to let everyone know what has happened to me.

I sold items on Ebay recently.
They had a combined total value of just over $1000.

I offered registered post - the buyer declined.

    So i posted them regular.
They are now claiming they didnt arrive and Paypal has ordered in their favour as i didnt send registered post.

They dont care that the seller didnt want registered.
Nor that i have done the right thing
Nor that i wrote i didnt take responsibility for AUs Post loosing mail.

Now i am without the product, and have to give a full refull (no options as they take it straight from my account).

So please please please! what ever you do . dont give the option - just sent your items registered and you can have people do this to you and you never know if they were dishonest of not!

    xxoo

Yep, I'm thinking of doing this more often, not just for Ebay, but generally. There was a situation recently where i live where a rogue postie was hoarding parcels... but they probably weren't registered ones.

Yep been appealing for about a month.

They sent me this today :
The proof of postage should be a copy of
the actual shipping label on the package that shows the destination address
and the shipping company's stamp to verify the shipment date.

We must receive this information within the next 72 hours. If you do not
reply to us within 72 hours, we will stop investigation on this claim and
find in favor of the buyer.

This is why we only use Registered Post for Secret Santa here on BellyBelly now as well. Not that it comes to over $1000 the secret santa parcels that are sent lol, but same thing applies.

You should always keep a receipt of the parcel if you don't send via registered post... I always did that for eBay in case someone did a shonky because it does put on the receipt where the postage is going to and how much it costs. Did you keep the receipt?
