Angry Why mine? Huge Ebay vent - aarrrggghhh.

    Hi,
I listed my Elevit tablets on E-bay after a friend suggested and i saw that there were other listings for them.
I had 2 bids and was happy with 3 days to go and today the listing was removed because it did not meet its drug and drug paraphanaelia policy.

This is what they wote :
Unfortunately, your listing was in violation of our Prescription Drugs and Devices listing policy. Specifically, eBay does not permit the listing of any controlled drug or item that requires a prescription from a licensed practitioner (such as a doctor, dentist or optometrist) to dispense. Additionally, eBay does not permit the listing of any components of prescription or over-the-counter drugs unless the Therapeutic Goods Administration has approved the sale of such components, without a prescription. Importantly, because the regulation of such goods will vary internationally, even if the item is legal to sell in Australia it may be prohibited in another country. For this reason will only allow these items to be shipped within Australia.

I replied that Elevit is available over the counter and does not require a script and is a vitamin supplement only. That there were other listings and why take mine off and leave theirs there?? What could i do to get it re-listed.

    I am soooo angry!!

it sounds like it was taken off b/c you stated that you would post everywhere. Perhaps if you say that you will only post in Australia, they will let it back on.

    Good luck

TD - that sucks! I've seen on ebay that they are quite strict, you must say how many tablets are left and what the expiry date is, etc etc. Just mention in the description that they are able to be bought off the shelf but it's cheaper to buy off ebay, just to make it clear.

TD - Unfortunately, I dont think you can relist them now that you've had a violtion against your username for that item. You might need to get someone else to sell them for you. I hope I'm wrong though and you can relist them.

The reason they pulled your listing and not someone elses is because someone (ie. another eBay member) would have reported your listing. There is a "Report this listing" link at the bottom of every listing. Otherwise eBay most likely wouldn't have done anything because they generally don't check people's ads.

eBay SUCK like that, they are so quick to pull a listing without even finding out the facts. They pulled one of my sister's listings because she said "Cash on pick up welcome". It is a legitimate payment form, but someone reported it as saying they will accept cash in general (even if the item is posted) which is against the rules. eBay didn't even read the listing themselves to be sure, the just pulled it . My sister sells multiple items on eBay a week and all her listings say "Cash on pick up welcome", it's so frustrating!

I would either email eBay back or talk to their live help.

I had my breast pump on there ages ago and was violated but after talking to them and asking them what i needed to do i got the pump re-listed. So fingers crossed, i'll be allowed on this one too.

Hmm. good point about. Not sending it overseas and just posted to AU and also about it being avail over the counter and no script necessary. I shall take onboard once they get back to me.

Oh well, if i can't sell them i then have one mum to be who wants them!
