Won ebay item & seller wants more money. HELP!

heres the thing i won a auction on a pram in Ebay and seller has just emailed me this.

"Hi there

I believe you won the pram I had listed, however, I was kind of hoping for more than $40.00 as it is worth a whole lot more than that!
So I have relisted the item.

However, I would like for us to have a mutual withdrawal or would you like to work something out to achieve my desired price?

Looking forward to hearing from you."

I have tho paid in paypal so i know i have buyer protection. But what else can i do what should i say and how should i respond to this email. I know they cant do this. How cheeky is that resisting it GRRRRR

Give them bad rep points as well. If they didn't want it to go stuff all, they should have put a reserve price on it.

exactly ........ thats what me and hubbie think to... but seriously i think its a fair price anyhow for the pram. We bought it to take and leave in nz to save us taking one every time its such hard work carting so many baby things.

I have had this happen to me before and I emailed the seller and politely told her that I have already paid the amount according to the auction and I would like the item that I won.
She is not allowed to raise the price. If she wanted more money then she should have set a higher price to begin with. Don't pay her any more money!!

She has violated the ebay rules by even approaching you for more money. Before leaving any feedback, get in touch with ebay and launch a dispute. They are very helpful and will let you know what your rights are.

If you really want this pram, then follow it through. The rules are on your side.

Have a look on e-bay for the guidelines, and send her a copy of them. Or ask one of the e-bay people what to do (if you prefer them to contact the seller).

I think you can report them to e-bay directly, they definitely can't do it and if they wanted a certain amount they should have listed it with a reserve.

it's the risk you take with offering your item in an 'auction' starting with a low price.

They seriously cannot do this once an auction has ended and you have bidded for it for that price they cannot just relist it if they wanted more for it then they should have started the bid at the price they wanted this makes me so mad I am an ebay queen totally addicted and have had to put up with idiots like this before Please dont let them get away with this by the way what sort of pram was it, was it an expensive one??? what is their problem?????

OOOh Squidipa. No way should you give them a mutual withdrawal. If they wanted a higher price then they should have put a reserve price on it at a level they were happy with. Obviously it is not worth as much as they think it is, cos on ebay it is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. In this case $40!!

As everyone else says, contact ebay and draw on the rules and regs as necessary. The cheek of it!

She cant do that! Its a breech of contract. I would send her a reply back saying that you are contacting ebay in regards to this as you feel you won the item fair and square.

I would also tell her that if she wanted a higher price then she should have put a higher reserve price on it.

Dodgy, Dodgy, Dodgy... Report them to ebay, and pay pal, and leave terrible feedback. That is so unacceptable. What appalling behaviour. I never list an item with a starting price or reserve lower than I want for it...
