To me kumon has good and bad points...it all depends on the child as to whether it is the 'right' fit for them. It is based on worksheets and not a lot of hands on tactile learning which works for some kids and not others. It is also based on independent learning so not a lot of interaction with the other kids....each kid will basically be working on their own worksheet at whatever level they are up to with a supervisor helping out. So if you have children who are happy to work for periods of time on their own and are visual learners then they will probably love it and do well...but if you have a child who is a kinesthetic learner they are probably not going to do so well....
