Perhaps put him on the list and see what happens in the mean time. Would he be starting there straight away? I know at our daycare they say TT is a requirement for kinder but they also work with the kids that are in pullups etc rather than nappies.
Personally I would not be pushing the TT - I tried with DD1 and is was not worth the angst - but you could get some undies and talk about it. It may also be worth discussing it with daycare as that was where it all started for us.
    Good luck!

Its health and safety. They aren't allowed to change nappies (unless its a child care centre) so if they do have a dirty nappy they have to call you and ask you to come to the kinder and change it. (Well its like that here anyway).

We started toilet training DS 6 months before Kinder for this reason.
