I've done that before! Saw a jumper exactly the same as A's laying on the floor at home time and assumed it was ours. The next week A's jumper was in his locker (because it was named...) so I took it home and sure enough I found the other jumper had no name tag. The following week at kinder, there was a note on the board about the missing un-named jumper so I took it back

it is an honest mistake, I would take it back and just let the front desk know what happened.
