Rach - someone asked me the other night if I'll cry when he starts school. I was like... no?? We're both too excited about it I think! But then I thought it'll probably hit me the following monday when both are at school and I'm at home floating around by myself LOL. The first week is a bit messy with Kayla starting preschool on the Mon/Tues, but Tallon not starting full days til the Thursday.

We did our school shopping yesterday, got uniform and school shoes. He insisted on having proper school shoes.. with laces!! as much as I was pushing him to have black velcro runners LOL. He's been madly practicing his laces tho, so hopefully he'll almost have it by the time school starts! So we're pretty much set.

I didn't realise the states were so different with the terms. I think our term officially starts on 28th Jan which is a friday, but is usually a pupil-free day, so school starts the next monday. I think Canberra starts the week after that... and you guys up in Qld are starting the week before! Too confusing! LOL.

far as I know most schools here are starting the 24th I do think some have a pupil free day the first day and others may have 2 free

    so strange

The school should start back before the students, you might be able
    To call and ask

    We start on Monday!!
Imran is getting very excited. We stopped by the school on our way home from our morning coffee this morning and he had a play on the play ground.
I'm kind of torn now - I thought I would be haooy to have some spare time in the days but now I think it might be a bit lonely at home. I'll have to hurry up and get a PT or tennis coach to have an affair with
I guess I should find all uniform and make sure that everything is washed and fits. We still don't have a back-pack, we're waiting until the clothing shop at school opens to see if we buy one from them or the shop.

We're all ready to go too. Had the best start interview today, which I wish I hadn't sat in on... I was inwardly saying "come on.. you know that" LOL. So walked away feeling like he should have known this & that But he did quite well with a lot of the other stuff, so I shouldn't really be worried LOL.

We start on Thursday at 10.15. Kayla has done well so far with preschool yesterday & she's there today as well. Next week I'll feel the silence in the house when they're both off to school/preschool together

B starts Monday. I thought I had everything organised but totally forgot I was meant to pay for books and fees yesterday *ulp!*
Going to have to go in tomorrow to do it on the way to taking ds to transition at his new daycare.
There's just so much to get my head around.

DD had best start today and her first day is Thursday too. She starts at 9.55am, they've staggered all the start times. She gets a Yr 6 buddy as well. The kindies finish earlier at 2.45pm for the first term. DD is so excited and everything is ready. We bought her stationery as a pack from the school and there's no Big W shopping for uniforms here. Even the socks have the school colored stripes. Let's just say I walked out of the uniform shop over $300 poorer... At least the backpack and stuff was included, I guess. This is a public school too.
