I am thinking of seeing a private gyno but they cost so much and atm we cant afford it as Dh lost his job in Nov and I got fired for no other reason that they couldn't afford me 2 days after xmas
I will look into it more when we r both working again
I know it seems silly to say we cant afford the gyno atm so how can we affod another baby but we will be working again soon
I suggest you get onto an alkaline diet asap to increase your body's Ph level and enhance your chances of conception and weight loss. (I mentioned in another thread that PCOS requires an acidic environment to thrive - and struggles to survive in an alkaline environment). Google acid alkaline balance to find out more.
I also suggest you stop seeing those rude docs and get to an experienced Naturopath asap.
That's how I beat my PCOS and endometriosis and conceived my 2 boys.
Thanks for the info and dont worry I wont be going back to those doctors
I try to manage my diet reasonably well but I do find it difficult sometimes
Doesn't help that I am addicted to coke zero but I am trying to cut back on that
I know I need to drink much more water and I will try very hard as I bloat alot when I drink water and get very uncomfortable
Good to hear you are doing what you can.
I don't wish to scaremonger you, but just stay off that dreadful coke zero please!!! You are better to drink normal Coke and consume the natural sugar with a few extra calories to burn, than have no calories and the artificial sweetner phenylalanine in your system. Its proven to be carcinogenic (cancer causing) hon - and the phosphoric acid in coke is strong enough to eat away at a placenta if consumed in excess. Not to mention it is mega acidic!! You need alkaline alkaline alkaline!!! Start squeezing a fresh lemon first thing every morning and skulling it (add water if you need to). Contrary to what most people think - lemons are extremely alkalising in the body. Get your hubby to do it too and make alkaine food choices wherever possible.
That's interesting re the alkaline diet. I haven't heard that before. My doctor recommended the Low GI diet for me. It seemed to work.
Also, PCOS is usually weight related but not always. I have never been technically overweight although I could lose about 5 kgs. I have had PCOS forever. I have struggled to maintain my weight though & even losing 2 or 3 kilos was extremely difficult until i started taking metformin.
TD, I'm not offended at all I just wanted to point that out.
