I have had painful periods my whole life and my mother went through all this when she was my age, as my symptoms worsened my GP sent me for a ultrasound which picked up a large mass on my ovary and something with my endometrium?- I don't have the file here with me. Anyway my GP sent me to see Dr Chang in campbelltown who performed the lap. I think his concern is that even if I have the bowel surgery I am wasting my time if I plan on leaving my uterus & ovaries in, as it will all just come back. I am terrified of the thought that if I choose surgery I may end up with a colostemy bag(from the bowel surgey) or I will have to endure menopause( from the hysto). So at this stage I am stalling and trying to find something to cling to as an alternative. I will see how my appointment with Dr Morgan goes maybe he will give me confidence in surgery.
