Hi ladies,
A few months ago I was diagnosed with PCO on u/s but I have never had any follow-up b/w or anything to diagnose actual PCOS. Since then I have had two pregnancies which have resulted in two losses.I have an appointment to see a specialist at RWH Randwick in Sydney in February, but I need a referral. I am wondering if there are any ladies in the Sydney are who can recommend a doctor who is sympathetic to this condition? I have been told alternatively that:
1. Despite having PCO and FBD (fibrocystic breast disease) I don't have a hormone problem or fertility issue
2. By an OB that PCO will not affect fertility, I recommend a lap to see if your tubes are blocked, let's make an appointment!
3. PCO is an infertility issue and I recommend you get insurance for IVF
So I have no luck with GPs. Yesterday I saw one for this second loss who told me two m/c's were "nothing"![]()
So if anyone can recommend a GP for a referral I would greatly appreciate it. Or if anyone has a great specialist and wants to recommend them as well, also much appreciated.
