    Bleeding after lap???

Hi - just wondering if someone could tell me if this is usual.
I had a lap and cyst on my ovary/fallopian tube drained two days ago. Tonight I have started bleeding - kind of like a light af, with cramping on the side where the cyst was. Is this to be expected? It had to start after the fs clinic closed huh!
    TIA for any advice!

I had light bleeding after a lap, but I had a d&c with it.

Thanks Ausgirl. I don't think I had a d&c - or at least they didn't tell me. Its not too heavy so I guess I will just monitor it.

I had some light bleeding. Called the hospital about it was told it was normal, but to call my doc if it ended up really heavy.
It only lasted a few days and was pretty light. But like ausgirl, I also had D&C as well.

If it's still going I'd check in with your doc.

A D&C is usually done as routine as part of the Lap surgery so I would be surprised if they didn't do it. A little bit of bleeding and cramping afterwards is normal

My friend also panicked last night because of the bleeding but I explained to her that it is normal.

I had a lap & D&C back in September. I also had light bleeding for a little over a week. I also got a bit of pain but I think that was more related to the healing process - with the stitches and sensation coming back to the surrounding nerve area.

I hope you have a quick recovery. I went back to work two days later (which in hind sight was stupid) but I felt good again after 2-3 weeks. Don't follow my lead. Take it easy on yourself.

It's made a huge difference to my pain levels during AF. Hope it helps you too.
