    Complex Cyst

I was diagnosed with a 4cm Complex cyst on my left ovary today. Im so scared. We are TTC and I only had Ovarian Drilling via a Lap on 14 Feb. Could it have been missed or likely to have developed since?? If it developed since how fast is it growing?? Will I lose an ovary or tube?? All I wanted was a baby.....

My right ovary has 7 follicular cysts (typical of PCOS) and still pretty high for ovarian drilling done 2 months ago and a hemorrhagic cyst (full of blood) measuring between 1 and 2cm. These cysts tend to correct themself but can be painful if it bursts - which is just great. I dont have 1 healthy ovary.

Ive spent the night stuffing myself on chocolate - thanks easter bunny - feeling sorry for myself.

Has anyone had a complex cyst...... if so did it rectify alone or did you have surgery.

Having only had surgery a mere 9 weeks ago i really dont want to have it again, but I dont want them to leave it either...... I know a complex cyst can be made of many things (eggs, endometrium) but what if it is a dermoid...... oh I want to vomit thinking about it...... Having teeth, hair and skin growing in my ovary.

I haven't any experience of this myself, but just wanted to say that I hope this is the last surgery you need for a long time and that it doesn't delay your TTC plans for too long

    Thanks trillian

It's so frustrating!!! I'm only 27 and contemplating a hysterectomy!!!

It's sad when I wasn't ready and wasn't trying and just after my first surgery for pcos I fell pg. Now I want one so bad.

I am so grateful for my beautiful dd. If she is meant to be my one amd only whole world I'll accept it with open arms...,... She would be the most gorgeous sister!!! She is already running around saying her baby sister/brother is crying in HER belly lol.

    I'll know more tomorrow.

    Hi Hun,

I was diagnosed with a dermoid cyst during my last pregnancy and i am waiting to have surgery to remove it, it hasnt grown much at all during the past 12months but it still needs to come out. I felt very scared when i found out i had it and to be honest im scared about having the surgery but i really dont have a choice , i feel very weird knowing i have teeth, hair, fat deposits growing in my ovary i just hope when they take it out they get it all and i wont ever get another one.

I wish you all the best, let me know how you get on ...take care x

My OG seems to think it's the beginning of a dermoid or cy- something. He thinks that after my ovarian drilling it caused my system to go into overload (I hadnt ovulated or had s period in 2 years).

    It's a waiting game now.

Pain killers in the mean time. There are 2 possibilities:

    1. I get af and then have a scan to see if it's shrinking, being stubborn or growing- if it shrinks we leave it and have a scan in a few months, if stubborn we do bloods to ensure I'm ovulating (coz we are ttc) if growing then surgery,

    2. I don't get af- wait 3 weeks get another scan and have it removed.

In the 9 months ttc I've spent it waiting. First for a specialist appointment, then to see if metformin worked (which I didn't) to regulate my af. Then 3 months for surgery. Now another month to see if I need another surgery and if I do god knows how long.

    Argh!!!!!!

Thanks for telling me your story!!!! GL with your surgery, have you got it booked yet?
