Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. Lately I've come across many friends who are suffering from Endo and finding it really difficult to cope with.
Approx 12 years ago I was going through Fertility treatment and after a Lap & End was diagnosed with Endo, blocked fallopian tube, cysts on ovaries (the size of an orange). They did what they could and we continued unsuccessfully through IVF. I later conceived naturally but miscarried at 12 weeks and have never conceived since.
All my adult life my periods have been extremely heavy (flooding and clotting) and I have spotting for about 5 days leading up to the flood. I also spot mid month with significant pain. I feel bloated a lot of the time and my tummy has always been prominent. Sex is extremely painful and I really can't be bothered with it. I am on the loo nearly every hour... worst bladder control and I haven't had kids!!! LOL
I am now wondering if I should get it looked into again and have something done about it. We've been through so much and I don't want more surgery but am a) worried if I do nothing something bad could happen and b) am sick of putting up with basically 2 week periods each month plus the pain.
I am 33 now and torn as to what I should do. I don't have a Gyno that I see as I haven't bothered or needed to.
Anyone got any advice? What should I do???

I am an ex- severe-endo-sufferer. Yes- ex. I just finished a post to another person which vaguely describes my journey to finding lasting releif to my endo. You can find it by exiting this post and clicking on the 'endo and the pill?' post in the same section as this. The post related specifically to the pill and endo but you will find it a worthwhile read none-the less.
I will also find a more specific thread that i started a while ago regarding my journey to healing endo.
Ok- I'm back and here is the link- https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...-reversed.html
Not sure if I mentioned it in the thread - but I highly recommend you purchase the book 'The Natural Way to Better Babies - Preconceptual Healthcare for Prospective Parents' - it is loaded with info on how to address barriers to conception such as endo - advice you are unlikely to ever hear from your doctor.
Let me know how you go and don't hesitate to contact me if you have anymore questions!!!

Thanks JellyBean appreciate your response and will read your posts.
To be honest, it's been so long now since the IVF and we have come to terms with the fact we will not be having kiddies. This has been a really tough road but now we have traversed it I think we are doing OK.
I don't want to open up closed doors for pregnancy sake. It's more for my health and well being and preventing further health issues. That might seem bad but I believe you can cling to false hopes for too long and it's not healthy. Like I say, we are fairly happy now. Of course it still hurts to be childless... wouldn't be human if it didn't, but there is also more to life and our relationship means the world to us now.
I should also mention that we went to a Chinese Herbalist on 2 different occassions for many months and they were both unable to make any changes. We also were treated by Ruth Sharkey for many many months with no effect and Ruth has been known to be brilliant. We've certainly given natural ways a pretty good go. We even went to one that works with what they find in your eyes. Weird it may seem but her results spoke for themselves... with other people... just not us. :-(
So, will read your posts and hopefully they can help me out as I'm still torn as to what to do.

I hope they will be of some assistance to you. It's good to hear that you have come to terms with your present situation - you sound like a very strong woman. Having kids is certainly not the reason why we are here. There is alot to be said for living a healthy, wholesome life with someone you respect and care about dearly. Many people who have kids do not have this and for them life is a struggle.
Perhaps the heavens have greater plans for you!
Best of luck in getting to the bottom of your endo and excuse my optimism. It sounds like you have tried various avenues so I really hope you find something that works....
Hi Geckos,
you can call the bb preg centre on thurs and I'll have a chat to you if you like. Just leave your return no. on the message bank if no-one answers, and I'll get back to you. 03 98367734
Hi Justin, Is that cool for me to ring you to chat? I didn't expect that sort of service. Will make a note to do so on Thursday like you suggest. Thanks, it's a very kind offer. :-)
Hi im 26 and have suffered severe endo for a years. I had major surgery for it 18months agoand had a double bowel resection, some rectum removed, appendix out and my R tube removed as well as bladder segmentation and removal of endo from pouch of douglas.
I know a lot of people who have had gastrointestinal endo and swear by the book TCYF (taking charge of your fertility) by toni weschler.
