    Default Endo and clomid...

right so have both PCOS and endo for good measure.. and this is our third round of clomid.. now on 100mg...so i started getting cramping almost a week ago - with it increasing about 9-10dpo - i thought that it might have been just implantation - well was hoping but have been noticing something disturbingly familiar. The cramping is particularly back after bding and after going to the loo particularly if i have had a full bladder - this is the same as what i had when my endo was at its worst.. i had a lap in jul last year and had three sections of endo removed - not too bad... am worried the clomid is making it come back.. though.. anyone else had any issues?

AJ, that is the same symptoms as I have for my endo. Lucky that it has been over a year since your lap.
I had a lap last June, started seeing my FS in November & told him about my symptoms, had a lap in Feb this year & had endo again.

What are your plans for AC after the clomid. Any thought about having a lap before going further? My FS said to do a lap since I had recurrent endo in the past.

On a better note, I conceived DD almost 4 years ago after my first lap, clomid & Pregnyl trigger shot for O. Thanking my lucky stars for that almost every day!

    Take care

thanks tam - we have another appt with the specialist on 5 oct - so i guess we just see what is happening there - what our next set of options are...i will mention the symptoms then and see what he says - he wasn't into mucking around for the first lap in july last year so who knows - just what i need right now another Op!!!

i think that it may indeed be coming back and i can't help thinking that the clomid has not been helping in that respect

AJ, I'm not too sure on how much the clomid affects it, I've got a bit of a worry myself wondering about my oestrogen support tablets I'm having for my FET.

Also with the endo it depends on where it is! When I had my last lap there wasn't many actual endo growths but I had a lot of adhesions (wrapped around my ovaries & tubes) but gave heaps of reasons why my IUIs hadn't worked.

Here's to the 5th October, it'll be good to talk to the specialist & get a plan, that always helps. Make sure you start writing down your questions now. It's a pain having another op but at least you can get everything cleared out & know why it hasn't worked so far (if it's back).

Take care, & dont' stop trying yet, where are you in your cycle?

AJ, don't worry about rambling, I guess it's the only way to work through things, & there are always lots of things to work through

I'd suggest to not put back your appointment, personally I've always felt good when after each BFN I've been able to move onto the next step, had my 'plan in advance'. And it would save you having to wait a cycle out.

But in the end it mainly depends on what your dr suggests.

Hoping all the best for this cycle, you just never know!!!!

Sorry I'll just quickly butt in......but endo generally reacts in the same manner as the endometrium in your uterus. So if you are stimming with E2 which thickens the blood lining in your uterus then endo MAY be stimulated to - but not always. Clomid turns off the pituitary gland so that when you stop taking clomid the gland responds by over-reacting in the follicular phase, which can mean increased E2 levels - but not always.

Thanks for the info Sheree. Can you help with a question then:
If I'm staying on my Progynova all the way through will that not then have any affect?
I am now nearing 8 months from my lap which is the same time frame between the last two and endo was found again that close. I guess I hold that in the back of my mind.
    Bloody endo!

    Thanks

Tam - I would be very mindful of endo if I were you because of the progynova. But it varies, how endo responds. I suppose you need to analyse your symptoms for endo coming back - but that can be hard when doing stims on IVF. When you have a scan next, ask to see if they can see any fluid in the puch of douglas or generally in your abdomin. Also they need to check closely for chocolate cysts.
