Well i went for a lap end of april, the doc removed some endo, left some there but there wasn't much to start with

I'm now tricycling so no severe monthly pain, but my general lower abdo pain is getting worse I had some bad PMS moods before going on the pill (combined plus progesterone only, never been on it before) but now it's constant! I'm a little moody to say the very least, i was annoyed the other night and decided to punch the floor, i felt better afterward but broke my hand

Sex is still painful and DP is not as understanding as he was - he claims he needs it every other day and he becomes a bit mean if he doesnt get it. He says it's not my fault and he doesn't mean to take it out on me, but damn how horny can he be... My sex drive is zero! So now he wants to take up pot again to 'deal with it'. What a cop out. Yay for having a zonked out partner lol.

Hrmm that was only supposed to be a general update ... oops, sorry for the rant! I suppose what I'm getting at is the lap hasn't worked :P

    hey desist,

Im sorry to hear your lap wasn't as successful as you had hoped I know the disappointment I felt when I went through that!

Well I am pretty much the same still having all the same pain but I have been to my appointment at the pain clinic and she has given me some advice and some medication so im hoping I notice the improvement soon!

Sex for me is not currently an issue my partner and I split after seven years and I have moved out of the home we shared now I am focussing on myself and improving my pain. The endo wasnt the reason for the split but im sure it helped put strain on our relationship!

    Hi everyone,
I actually also have really painful sex. I am so glad to see this thread!
I went to see a GP and she did some blood tests, pap smear, sent me to ultrasound and everything came back normal so she suggested perhaps I should see a psychologist.
But I know it true and clear that it's not in my head ... and I also noticed that if my DH doesn't enter completely then it tends to be less painful ...
Did you have any other symptoms with endo? How were you initially diagnosed with endo?
I certainly have an extremely low sex drive, let's just say we wouldn't be doing it if not because I want to have a bub ...

I definitely had painful sex with Endo, so much so that I would be in tears after sex all the time. Unfortunatly it inflicted enough damage in my head that it has put me off sex. I had a laproscopy at 22, when all my endo was removed and the sex wasn't painful after that, and hasn't been since but I can't help remembering that pain all the time, no matter how relaxed I am.

They only discovered Endo cause my initial lapraoscopy was investigative surgery as an ultrasound picked up growing mass. My whole endo story can be found here Endometriosis - My Story

I'm sorry to hear about your relationship elephant, here's hoping you get the benefits you need from the YOU time, and that you find a caring doctor

secretmission - the main symptoms of endo I had (started at 16yo) were very painful periods and ovulation which progressively got worse over the years. 6 years later mum told me that both she and my grandma had endo, so I had a laparoscopy and they burnt some off. Had another lap last April.

My "IBS-like" symptoms of endo (common for endo) were made far worse after each operation, so this is what I'm currently trying to sort out

I got IBS-like symptoms since about 4 months ago ... I bought a bottle of those IBS enzymes and didn't seem to help very much, looks like I should go and get some help if it still doesn't work after I finish this bottle!
    Thanks for the feedback desist.

Well I have some good news so I thought I would come on here and share it!
I have been on the gebapentin for about a month and a half and i have also started a relationship with a guy who I was friends with so knew all about my endo before any relationship started so really was interested in me and didnt mind that sex etc might be non existant!

We had sex and for the first time in years and years no pain at all!!!! That gabapentin is my wonder drug. Several sexual encounters later all is still good so now I know it wasnt just a one off!
I can't help but wonder is it the drug alone or was part of the pain psychological due to being in my previous somewhat unhappy relationship?
Anyone got an views on this i would love to hear them?

I was diagnosed a few yrs ago I also have a lapsocpy and some other procedure to remove endo. although they removed it I still get affected by it severly. Im bed ridden for around 2 weeks near my period i have cramps i feel like fainting and in tears nearly with the pain not to mention the blood i loose ( tampon plus pad changed around 4-5 times daily).

I have a high sex drive as i love sex but the pain is unbearable. I cannot have sex doggy style (sorry if tmi) as it hits my cervix and it feels like my insides r being torn apart and I cannot be on top cause it kills. the only positions i feel comfortable with is spooning and missionary even then im still in considerable pain.

While sex is enjoyable (the emotions and feelings take over ) but afterwards I suffer badly with bad stomach cramps that I nearly puke and it feels like my insides just wanna fall out. I have come close thousands of times to blacking out cause of the paina nd i have spent total of months and months in emergnancy with the er practically cant do much about it.

Im actually getting to a point of being so scared about what it is going to do to my body. last month i didnt get a period i got it 11 days late bringing my hopes up to the possibility of being pregnant only to get my period and downing my hopesof falling pregnant. I already have a 2 yr old which was concieved 9 months after my lapo.

I am finding it hard to become pregnant as I havent been on the pill since i was 8 weeks pregnant with my son as my dr said the pill would be stuffing my cycle up more so i chose not to use the pill. so in all up over 2 yrs i have no even come close to falling pregnant despite trying and trying.

any advice on techniques or anything i can take to get back to a healthy state of mind being uterus wise (like any vitamins to hieighten my chances). I guess ill just have to take a visit to my gyno again (havent been since lapo).

i have endo which where picked up on a ultrasound i also have severe adhesions on the bowel which iam on morphine for (iv tried everything else) iv seen 3 gynaes whov told me they cant do a lap because of the scarred tissue. im only 20 and i suffer with painful sex etc. iam on buscopan to help bowel spasms which are also commonly used for IBS. iv seen 12 surgeons and 3 pain docs and they cant help. iv tried lots of different pills none of which help i still bleed on them. i truly understand, im banging my head against a wall. somebody mentioned gabepentin just so people are aware there is a newer and supposedly better drug called progabalin, it helped the pain but made my depression worse.
    hope this helps anybody
