I am new to the site but must say that it is the best find on the net so far!!
Bit of background, I am 26yo, diagnosed with endo last year & was operated on in November to remove it all. Partner & I decided we would come off the pill in Feb this year after a long talk with gyno as he said we will probably have trouble TTC. Had 3 pretty normal (not really sure what normal is!!) periods, but have not had one since April.......tiny bit of bleeding a week & a half ago & have taken 2 pregnancy tests......POSITIVE.........We can not believe our luck after being off the pill for only 5 months, didn't really think that it was possible?? Has anyone else had an experience like this before & is it truly possible if I havn't been having any periods?? We took a preg test in June & that was negative. Have dr appointment Tuesday for a blood test, but would love to know your thoughts?? I am the most impatient person around!!
Congratulations! That's great news. It took me 2.5 years to fall pregnant after my laparoscopy and endo diagnosis. My gyno actually told me I'd never conceive naturally! You've done very well and obviously yes it is possible! Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months!
Thanks.......I thought it was too good to be true........I have been terribly sick the last 2weeks & the most normal smells make me want to vomit!! My nipples have been so sensitive too, even to put a bra on!!
It is really a bitter sweet moment as my best friend has been ttc for the last 2yrs & reading the posts in this forum from other women, it breaks my heart as here I am getting knocked up after only 5months after being told that it will probably be hard to get pregnant.
Will wait & see what my blood tests say......Will keep you posted!!
I had endo removed back in november 99 and I was pg by May the following year - one month after coming off Duphaston (to treat the endo) and it was a surprise pregnancy. The next 3 pgs were conceived on the first month of TTC. So it can happen - not everyone who has endo has a hard time with falling pg, especially if you have recently had lap surgery done to remove it. Good luck and I hope the BT results come back great!
I must admit that it is a surprise for us too!! I mean we did make the decision to come off the pill & try for babies, but we made a promise to each other that there will be no pressure & that it will happen when it happens & to not turn it into a "chore"!! We certainly didn't expect it to happen this soon thats for sure!! I just pray that everything is ok as I have had a few sessions on the wine not knowing we were expecting
Can any one help me.....as I have not had any periods since April......& a negative preg test in late June, when we would have actually become pregnant?? I had a tiny bleed on the 7th July........would this be the implantation bleed do you think?? Im too impatient to wait for tests & dr appointment!!
