Hi Toby,
After 3 failed IVF cycles (2 stimulated 1 FET) I had a laparoscopy in 2001 to remove what turned out to be a quite severe case of endo and to try and repair a blocked fallopian tube. I went on to have 3 more IVF attempts before I fell pregnant naturally in 2003 with my DS and then again with my DD in 2007 (she was the result of an FET using embies we had frozen before my DS was born). I was told that the endo will probably come back within two years but as far as I know it never did and now have two beautiful children!
I wish you all the best.
Monica
I had a laparotomy done last July in which I had my left ovary and tube removed due to a 10cm cyst and also had my bowel scrapped and had a stent put into my ureta as it was squashed due to the cyst and it was causing my left kidney to fail. I was off work for 6 wks and after 3 mths I started IVF. My FS told me to go straight into IVF because firstly of my age and my DP sperm was a bit iffy. I had 3 full stim cycles and am now pg
Good luck and I hope you get your little miracle soon.
After having endo removed I was put on the pill to control it. When I came off 5 months later to conceive my cycles went wacky and I got diagnosed with PCOS! So it turned out the problem for me falling preg wasnt my endo in the end but PCOS. With fertility drugs (clomid) I am now pregnant.
Best wishes!

Thank you ladies, I can see a glimmer of hope at the end of this very long and winding tunnel. Congrats on all who have a BFP and for the others our turn will come very soon
To cut a very long story short I had a lap to remove severe Endo and 10 months after we started DTD again I fell pregnant with DS, so it can happen quite quickly. When my DS was 19 mths I fell pregnant with twins but unfortunately lost them, but fortunately fell pregnant 3 mths later with my DD.
And I'm now pregnant with our surprise baby 8 years after my DD (pill baby) do it certainly does happen.
Just try to keep positive and not focus on it too much (easier said than done I know).
Take care and all the best
Cheers Missy
