Getting Pregnant With PCOS and Endometriosis

    Hi all

I am very seriously new to this, so forgive me if i blabber on a bit.

I am 26 years old and have both PCOS and Endo. I was diagnosed roughly 6 years ago and had a rough time with getting a good treatment and decent gyno, which unfortunately made me gain a tonne of weight which is almost impossible to shift!

Im finally on a good pill, Microgynon 20, which actually seems to be stimulating my ovulation ( I can bloody well feel the pains from it ).

My hubby and I are now wanting to get pregnant and I have no idea how this is gonna work with my issues. I have been told to go off the pill, but im scared to as its the only thing that has made me ovulate regularly in years and I feel if I went off the pill it wouldnt work. Im due to go see a new gyno soon but have no idea what he is actually like.

I feel silly for asking, but I very seriously need some advice here.

The pill should actually be stopping you from ovulating, that's the whole point of the pill (well meant to be) - having a period doesn't mean you are ovulating.

You will definitely need to go off the pill to get pregnant. We tried for 4 months on our own - during this time I was taking temps, graphing and doing tests to see when I was ovulating. I found I was only ovulating every second month, so my Gyno put me on Clomid - Clomid helps you ovulate. On the 2nd month I got pregnant

i get very strange pains when im at ovulation time, apparently its not uncommon according to previous specialists. Have no idea how this works, they've never explained it to me. I've had an ovulation test done and it said it was positive, very bizarre.

havent really had any treatment, had trouble finding a decent specialist. Ive had scans and ultrasounds and been put on the pill, thats it.

That's great Connie_Melb. How many mg's of Clomid were you on when you got your BFP?

I believe it was 50mg... so the lowest dose.
