Hi Nena
I am not in Melb
But if I were you I would ring the nearest Hospital and find out if they have a Gyn clinic. If they do then ask about the head of the department, then go to your GP and ask them to give you a referal to go and see the Head of the department.
You could also ask if there was a clinic for womens pelvic pain.
Do you live near the Womens Hospital???

This is what I did and I know am getting a Laperoscopy/hysteroscopy done in the next 6 weeks that will be done by the head of the department.
I also am being treated by a specialest down in Sydney at the Royal Hospital for women (2 hrs drive away) for Ashermans Syndrome. The specialest is in Endo - Gyn clinic (which helps women with pelvic pain)

I hope this helps
Cheers
Chris
Hi Chris
I tried writing to you earlier but had problems posting (maybe cause I'm new here & still trying to work it out).Hope you get this one.Just wanted to say big thanks for your advice.Finding this forum has been the best thing and I am so greatful to people like yourself who want to help.I have already started contacting hospitals, but some endo surgeons and Dept.heads are on holidays, so still have to wait. I'm not keen to be seen/operated on by just any surgeon,(due to complexities of op)which hospital (clinic staff) might arrange.Don't know how long I can wait though, but Gp referred me to Cancer Inst. and they won't see me before mid Jan, so maybe I'll survive til then & that's the time when most specialists are coming back from h/days.Thanks again and I wish you every success with your op and quick recovery.Good luck darl.
