I got nearly 7 years repreive on mine - from the birth of my first baby till my youngest was 6mths old. Although they did change so that while I had only mild 'normal' period pain, they got really heavy, but I could deal with that so long as I didn't have the endo pain.
I got AF back when DS was 7 months and ended up with 4 cycles before falling pg again. They weren't too bad, "normal" pain, not endo pain, but like Trillian, mine were also were quite heavy, sometimes with clots. That I could deal with. I dread when I'm finished having babies, of getting my periods again and if the pain will return.
i got AF back when DD was 6ish months. like the others have mentioned the pain was not too bad (not sure what the pain guage is though...as anyone woman with endo does have a different 'pain metre' i reckon LOL!).
my AF is much shorter, averaging 5 days. i get O pain that varies from mild to horrendous (but the latter only happening say twice in the last 19 months). HOWEVER, the clotting is still full on. i still need to be extra vigilant for my 'heavy' day (only one day now ) and prepare and be near bathrooms JIC.
I had lap & zoladex for 6 months. Fell preg march 2004 had Stacey in the December 2004. Then fell preg again around Jan 2006 with no pain or probs in between that time. Had Amy October 2006 been fine up until approx 4 months ago and pain just before and during AF getting worse each month. So I guess since being preg I have had 3 years off and since lap 6 years.
I can't say how long I had my endo prior to my lap in 2007, but after DD was born in 1999, it was probably 6-7 years before the pain started to become bad again. Not long before I had my lap i reckon.
I had ds in jan 2008 and since a few months the af pain is very painfull again. I now have pain from o till mid-af. Actually cd1 and cd3 are the worst. FOr me, it has gotten worse since giving birth (compared to before falling pregnant). I never got midcycle pain before.
Still breastfeeding so that is no guarentee either.
Hope you are lucky tho and it has eased after being pregnant.
