Keike - I would write out my questions about the lap and your reasons why so when you get in there you can't get sidetracked ITMS?? You have all the info and know your body better than anyone else so it is more than reasonable to ask the question! I would also be asking him his reasoning for why not, then trying to get a game plan in place. TBH I would want any sizeable lumps to be completely identified (but I am a panic merchant, lol) and assessed especially if they are painful and have been there for so long. When are you booked in to see the FS???
Surely the pain of it will be magic enough to make him look into things?

Yep, I would hope the words 'sizeable lump and alot of pain' would be convincing enough to warrant further investigation. A sizeable lump says to me you can feel it, that is pretty scary Keike. If you can feel it, he should be able to and it would be pretty irresponsible of him not to investigate further.:
No advice but wanted to wish you the best of luck :hug: I was booked in for a lap last year, it was just after my hycosy, to confirm endo and remove a few cysts (polycystic ovaries, not the syndrome for me). I ended up falling pregnant a month before the lap, but I remember how nervous I was about it.

Oh nice. I can't feel the lump anymore, and neither can Professor :cry: I haven't tracked it before, whenever I've felt for it it's just been there, but I don't often feel for it. Now I'm thinking that it's possibly only there when I ovulate. Still not normal though, right?
Annoyed that my main, you beaut reason for wanting the surgery has now disappeared. Strangely enough the pain is still there though...

Don't down play it cos you can't feel it - tell the Dr and stick to your guns, it is simply a bit more info to add to help with your diagnosis/treatment. GL xx
How did you go Keike?
Well, he's given me the test referrals I needed, and has also referred me to a special scan clinic, run by gynos and obstetricians who have gone on to specialise in reproductive imaging. He said that basically they won't be inclined to do the laparoscopy until I'm under BMI 35, unless something shows up on the the scan. And he said it's definitely not normal, and the pain I described is concerning, so to get the scan done ASAP. So I'll be ringing them tomorrow to see when I can go in, and we'll go from there :)
I'm glad he took you seriously. Hope you get the scan soon.
