I have just joined and would like to introduce myself, and would like a bit of advice,
1.5 Years ago i found out that i have endometriosis after a laparoscpic, my specialist recommend we try now but we were just not ready. Well now we are and have been trying for 2 months. I have heard very good reports about naturopaths, can anyone recommend any around the Indooroopilly/Toowong area.
Thank You and look forward to chatting with you all
I am an ex-endo sufferer who has been healed by natural medicine and went on to conceive naturally - something the doctors told me would not happen for me.
I live on the opposite side of Australia to you, but if you want to find a good Naturopath in your area who has experience with these issues, you can contact ANTA (Australian Natural Therapists Association), and they should be able to help you.
In the meantime - I highly recommend you purchase the book 'The Natural Way to Better Babies - Preconceptual Care for Prospective Parents' by Francesca Naish. Its full of info that is beneficial for healing endo, and will assist you and your hubby to eliminate common barriers to conception which are unlikely to be mentioned by the mainstream medical community. From memory its about $39.95 - avail from bookstores or online.
You may also wish to google 2 things which have helped myself and numerous others quite significantly:
- Alkaline Diet (balancing your internal ph levels and the importance of reducing acidity in the body to prevent endo).
- Zeolite (Natural Cellular Defense by Waiora). If you google Zeolite & the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Centre you should find an article by the holistic doctor Gabriel Cousens. This article is about a study he conducted, and details the remarkable findings for the use of this substance in pre-conceptual detoxification.
Best of luck.

Hi Sarah! Welcome to BB.
I too have had endo and my gyno suggested having chn as a great remedy but we weren't ready at the time either. Now we're giving it a good go!!
I can't help you with finding a naturopath, but hear they can be great for ttc. Also think about traditional chinese medicine and accupuncture as I've heard good reports about them with ttc also.
Good luck and don't forget to join in the 1-6 month ttc buddies forum!
