You'll get a better reception here than you did at your GP's!!! I believe that by law, he has to give you correct and appropriate information if you request it, especailly if he has put you on it!

Perhaps you could go to another GP and request your 'notes/records' be sent forward to them. (Are there any others you'd trust to go to in your area?) as they may be more forthcoming with the information.
